* Motor temperature sensor is greater than -40掳C (-40掳F).

* DTCs P0AEF, P0AF0, P0BD3, P0BD4, P0BDD, P0BDE, P0A2C, and P0A2D are not set.

P0AEF, P0AF4, P0BD3, P0BD8, P0BDD, and P0BE2

Ignition ON.

P0AF0, P0AF5, P0BD4, P0BD9, P0BDE, and P0BE3

* Ignition ON.

* Motor temperature is greater than -40掳C (-40掳F).

瀚慖f motor temperature is less than -40掳C (-40掳F) at Ignition ON, the drive motor must operate at greater than 20 Nm (14.75 lb ft) for a

cumulative time of 1.5 minutes before the DTC will run.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

P0AEE, P0AF3, P0BD2, P0BD7, P0BDC, and P0BE1

* A 15掳C ( 27掳F) difference is observed between the individual inverter phase temperature sensor and the average of all the inverter phase

temperatures.

* The above condition is present for 4 seconds.

P0AEF, P0AF4, P0BD3, P0BD8, P0BDD, and P0BE2

The inverter phase temperature sensor is greater than 125掳C (275掳F) for 3 seconds.

P0AF0, P0AF5, P0BD4, P0BD9, P0BDE, and P0BE3

The inverter phase temperature sensor is less than -40掳C (-40掳F) for 3 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* DTCs P0AEE, P0AEF, P0AF0, P0AF3, P0AF4, P0AF5, P0BD2, P0BD3, P0BD4, P0BD7, P0BD8, P0BD9, P0BDC, P0BDD, P0BDE,

P0BE1, P0BE2 AND P0BE3 are Type B DTCs.

* The PIM commands the battery energy control module (BECM) to open the high voltage contactor relays.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTCs P0AEE, P0AEF, P0AF0, P0AF3, P0AF4, P0AF5, P0BD2, P0BD3, P0BD4, P0BD7, P0BD8, P0BD9, P0BDC, P0BDD, P0BDE, P0BE1,

P0BE2 AND P0BE3 are Type B DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Clear the DTC information.

2. Ignition OFF for 1 minute.

3. Operate the vehicle under the Conditions for Running the DTC.

4. Retest for DTCs P0AEE, P0AEF, P0AF0, P0AF3, P0AF4, P0AF5, P0BD2, P0BD3, P0BD4, P0BD7, P0BD8, P0BD9, P0BDC, P0BDD,

P0BDE, P0BE1, P0BE2 AND P0BE3.

Circuit/System Testing

Program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs.

If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the PIM.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
